Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose and the Service)

These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between (주)지안플랫폼 ("the Company") and users in connection with the use of Benchpix ("the Service"). The Service provides free editing tools in the web browser, such as cropping, resizing, converting, compressing and decorating images and GIFs, and files are processed on your device. How personal information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Article 2 (Your responsibilities and rights in your content)

• You must hold the rights (copyright, portrait rights and so on) needed for the images and files you process with the Service, and you are responsible for them.
• You keep the rights in the images and results you process with the Service. The Company does not send or store your files on its servers and therefore does not use them.
• You must not:
  • process images that violate the law or public order, such as unlawfully taken images or images that infringe the rights of others;
  • interfere with the normal operation of the Service, for example through excessive automated access or by exploiting vulnerabilities;
  • copy the Service's source code, design or logo and distribute it as a separate service without the Company's permission.

Article 3 (Changes and suspension)

The Company may change or suspend all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons. No compensation is provided for changes or suspension of the free Service.

Article 4 (Advertising)

The Service may display advertising. The use of cookies for advertising is described in the Privacy Policy. Third-party products or services shown in ads are unrelated to the Company, and the advertiser is responsible for them.

Article 5 (Disclaimer)

• The Service is provided "as is". The Company does not warrant that it works without errors in every browser or device, or that results fit a particular purpose.
• Depending on your device, browser or the state of a file, results or files may be damaged or lost. The Company does not store your files, so it cannot recover a file that is lost. Always keep your originals somewhere safe.
• The Company is not liable for damage caused by the user, or by events beyond its control such as natural disasters or network failures. This does not apply to damage caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence.

Article 6 (Intellectual property and changes to these terms)

The Company owns the rights in the source code, design, logo and text of the Service. The font included in the Service (a subset of Nanum Gothic) follows the SIL Open Font License (OFL), and the license text is provided with the site.

The Company may change these terms when necessary and will post the changes on this page and update the effective date at least 7 days before they take effect. Changes that are unfavorable to users will be posted with more notice.

Article 7 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes related to the Service are handled by the court that has jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
