What this tool does
Joins several images into one, in a row or stacked in a column. Useful for before/after photos or stitching several captures.
Steps
- Upload several images. Drop them or click, and use the "Add more images" box under the list to add more.
- Use the ↑ ↓ buttons in the list to set the order. Remove unwanted images with ✕.
- Pick horizontal or vertical under "Direction".
- If the images differ in size, choose a "Size matching" mode. Set the "Gap" and "Background color" if you like.
- Check the preview and result size, choose the format and press "Download".
Settings
- Size matching: "Match the largest" enlarges smaller images proportionally, "Match the smallest" shrinks larger ones, and "Keep original size" leaves them as they are, centered with the rest filled by the background. It matches the height when joining horizontally and the width when stacking.
- Gap: the empty space between images in px. It is not added after the last image.
- Background color, Transparent background: fill the empty areas. Transparency is kept only in PNG and WebP.
How it works
First the position and size of each image are calculated to decide the full canvas size. Then the background is painted and the images are drawn in order at those positions. The preview is drawn on a reduced canvas and redrawn at the original resolution when you save.
Good to know
- With many or large images the result can exceed what the browser can handle; you will see a message and need to reduce the count or size.
- Only the first frame of a GIF is used. Use the GIF tools to join GIFs.
